Sarah Shaw began her journey as a Makeup Artist in June 2013, when she started assisting and styling on photoshoots for models, actors and musicians. In February 2014 she attended a Makeup Application course at the London School of Makeup, where she was tutored by Makeup artists Charlotte Isaacs and Beryl Barnard. Since then, she has acquired an IMA Foundation Certificate, and has gained valuable experience applying makeup for cosmetics companies.
From there, Sarah went on to study Advanced Makeup for Film, Theatre and Television where she picked up many skills including airbrushing, HD Makeup, period hair and makeup, applying prosthetic appliances, bald cap making & applying.
In June 2015 Sarah worked as the Makeup Designer with award winning novelist and director Sade Adeniran on her second short film 'A Mother's Journey' starring Caroline Chikezie.
Sarah continues to practice all manner of makeup techniques as she works on many new projects including the use of special effects and prosthetic makeup. Much of Sarah's work has been featured in various publications including Dark Beauty, Elegant Magazine and Vogue Italia.
Sarah is is based in South East London (Bromley, Eltham, Beckenham) and currently available for events, occaisions and bookings for film and TV.
